Enjoy the beautiful nature of Sweden by visiting our family hostel “Hovra Vandrarhem”.

Hovra Vandrarhem, the family hostel of Hovra, is situated on road 84 from Hudiksval to Sveg. This road connects the Swedish east coast with Norway. Our hostel is located on a hill with a nice view on Hälsingsland Kulturbygd, near the Ljusnan river.

Our hostel is very good starting point for everyone who loves to hike or moutain bike in the beautiful forests of Ljusdal. For fly fishing as well as for cross-county or alpine skiing, Hovra Vandrarhem is a good base.

Because of its location in the center of the Sweden, the hostel is a perfect spot for a overnight stay if you are on a north/south or east/west transit through the country.

Our hostel includes two buildings: a Bed & Breakfast and a hostel. We have 33 beds in 7 different rooms available. Room sizes vary: between 3 to 6 beds available per room. On every floor we have showers and toilets available (shared).

A disabled toilet and a wheel-in shower are available in the main building ( Villerkulla).

In the hostel ( Bläckhornet ) we have a kitchen available which you can use to prepare your own food. In our restaurant we serve breakfast, lunch and diner.

You can buy a one day fishing permit at our premises.

Hovra Vandrarhem is open throughout the year

Reception opening hours are: 8:00-11:00 and 18:00-22:00.
